<p>PURPOSE: To correct the offset and gain of a photosite over a wide range by giving respective photosites correction values for their offsets and gains according to a measured light intensity value and further giving the photosites attribute values. CONSTITUTION: When a pixel is inputted to a corrector 100, an offset value stored in a latch 202 is added by an adder 204 to pixel data to correct the offset response of a photosite. The pixel data are multiplied through a multiplier 206 by the said gain correction value to correct the gain response of the photosite. Before those corrections, however, the attribute part of the correction value stored in the latch 202 is read by an attribute decoder 208. Once an attribute indicating a defective pixel is detected, the decoder 208 makes an output selector 214 to substitute a defective pixel approximate value, obtained by a defective pixel correcting device 218, as data in a pixel information stream.</p> |
