PURPOSE:To improve precision in recognition by deciding forgery when both of the surface and the back surface of a specific document are read and the document is about to be copied. CONSTITUTION:Image signals read by CCDs 212, 214 and 217 are respectively amplified by amplifiers 107, 108 and 109 in an image reading part 101 and respectively converted into R, G and B digital signals by A/D converters 104, 105 and 106. In a decision part 112, it is decided with the R, G and B signals whether the document is the surface or the back surface of a note or a negotiable paper. When the decided result shows 'YES', the effect is written in a decided result storage part 113 and whether it is forgery is decided according to the content of information already stored in the storage part 113, then the decided result is transmitted to an image forming part 103. In the case of deciding that it is the forgery, the image forming part 103 takes a measure for preventing the forgery to the processed result of a signal processing part 102. Thus, the specific document can be prevented from being forged. |
