PURPOSE:To enable good display without degradation in contrast and unequal display by providing color filters contg. a conductive material on one low- resistance transparent electrode and providing high-resistance transparent electrodes thereon. CONSTITUTION:The liquid crystal display element is constituted by disposing the color filters 9 contg. the conductive material on the low-resistance transparent electrodes 2a on a substrate 1a and the high-resistance transparent electrodes 8 thereon, crimping the color filters 9 between a pair of the high- and low- resistance transparent electrodes and conducting the electrodes. As a result, the generation of the excess resistance and capacitor by provision of the color filters 9 is obviated and the influence on a liquid crystal driving voltage in this part is eliminated. The uniform driving voltage can, therefore, be impressed over the entire region of the liquid crystal display element and the uniform display having the good contrast is attained. |
