PURPOSE:To lengthen the life of an ink platen roller by a method in which the striking of a printing head is made by varying the striking face of the printing head on the peripheral face of the ink platen roller to other positions as needed in terms of the rotation shaft direction. CONSTITUTION:An ink platen roller 2 whose surface is impregnated with an ink is provided through a printing paper 3 in the face of a printing head 4. In the initial working condition, the printing head 4 is set biasedly from the center position in relation to the rotation shaft direction of the ink platen roller 2, and the striking face of the printing head 4 is positioned at the section 2a. After the lapse of a given period of time, the ink platen roller 2 is moved in the direction of arrow A and the section 2b on the ink platen roller 2 is positioned in the face of the printing head. |
