PURPOSE:To attain economy and ease of operation, by connecting a line making a call to a terminal selectively out of plural lines and a line selecting means, and connecting the line selected with the selecting means to the terminal. CONSTITUTION:A line switching device 1, a subscriber telephone line (main trunk) 6 and a line being an extension of an exchange (PBX)4 connected to a toll exclusive trunk 5 are connected, and telephone sets 3, 3' and a facsimile 2 are connected as connection terminals. The switching device 1 consists of a line switching section 1a and a characteristic switching section 1b switching the compensation characteristics in response to the line characteristics connected to the section 1a according to the operation of the section 1a. In case of making a call, in operating different keys corresponding to the main trunk call and the extension call, corresponding relays are activated, the main trunk or the extension is in call state. When the facsimile 2 is started, an exchange makes connection by the dial from the facsimile 2 for the connection with a remote terminal. The call from the telephone sets can be done similarly. |
