A damping resin compsn. comprises 10-95 wt.% a noncrystalline thermoplastic resin (A) and 90-5 wt.% a crystalline thermoplastic resin (B). (A) is a non-crystalline polymer with low glass transition point, and has max. tan delta above 0.5, in the frequency range 0.1-2000 Hz, at -50-150≦̸C. (B) is a crystalline polymer whose m.p. is higher than the glass transition point of (A) and has a rigidity above 1x108 dyne/cm2 at temp. and frequency at which (A) shows max. tan delta.
