PURPOSE:To perform sorting by grouping corresponding to respective documents by imprinting a peripheral mark on the periphery of a copying sheet separately from the image of the document at the time of performing first or last copying to the respective documents based on the detection signal of the replacement of the document. CONSTITUTION:An automatic document feeder 34 feeds the documents 5 of a document group to a document placing glass 10 one by one and supplies them so that copying is performed every specified number of sheets. An interimage eraser unit 32 is provided between an exposing part around a photosensitive drum 2 and a developing device 5 and the eraser unit 32 is obtained by arranging many LEDs 32a in the axial direction of the photosensitive drum 2. A linear index mark 42 is provided on a document platen glass 10. By erasing an electrostatic latent image by the index mark 42 with the aid of the necessary LED 32a, the peripheral mark is imprinted on the periphery of the copying sheet 7 separately from the image of the document. The sorting by grouping can be performed by imprinting the peripheral mark on the first sheet, out of he sheets to which copying is preformed every specified number of sheets, based on the detection signal of the replacement of the document by a sensor 47. |
