PURPOSE:To improve customer service by displaying the indication of a processing method for a transacting medium on the display means of an automatic teller machine after a trouble is generated and executing the processing. CONSTITUTION:When the trouble is generated in an ATM21 during transaction, a CPU6 of the ATM21 grasps which part of a control program to be housed in a ROM7 is executed according to step information and knows which step of the respective processing the trouble is generated in. When the trouble generation is in A-processing, a document to the contents of a picture A, which is housed to the ROM7 in advance, is displayed on a display means 22. Samely, when the trouble is generated during B-processing, a B-picture is displayed and when it is during C-processing, a C-picture is displayed. Then, when the processing is normally finished as a whole, a D-picture is displayed. This display can be executed for a staff by using an exclusive key which is provided in the ATM21. Operation in case of two-line system is same as the operation in case of one-line system. |
