This invention relates to a pull type clutch which releases a clutch by pulling rearward in an axial direction opposite to a pressure plate an inner support point portion (C3) of a diaphragm spring (8) by a release bearing (12). An air introduction member (18) is disposed on the back of a diaphragm spring (8) and the fitting leg (27) of this member (18) is passed through an opening (17) and is fixed to the pressure plate (7). A projection (23) projecting towards the diaphragm spring is formed on the air introduction member (18) so that the intermediate support point portion (C2) of the diaphragm spring (8) is clamped between the projection (23) and the fulcrum land (10) of the pressure plate (7). In this manner, the release operation can be made smoothly and rotation of other members at the time of release can be prevented.
