<p>A waterproof roof including a supporting roof structure (12) and a hold down assembly (16) for securing a generally continuous sheathing member (14) to the supporting roof structure (12). The hold down assembly (16) including a number of elongate members (18) supported in a parallel spaced relation on the supporting roof structure (12) with the sheathing member (14) overlying the elongate members (18). The elongate members (18) each including a raised center portion having a channel on each side. The sheathing member is locked in the channels by cables (20) aligned in the channels and trapped therein by deforming the raised center portion.</p> |
