A bearing bush with a bearing body (1) in the form of a hollow cylinder is used, in particular, in motor vehicles in order to support components which perform a slight motion relative to one another. Unwanted vibrations and unwanted noise evolution may, in particular, occur in this arrangement between the surface of a pin passed through the aperture (4) of the bearing body (1) and the bearing body (1) itself. According to the invention, a fibre layer (3) is provided on the inner surface (2) of the bearing body (1), this fibre layer being composed of a mixture of first fibres and of a material with a low coefficient of friction and second fibres that can be joined well to the material of the bearing body (1). The bearing bush according to the invention can be used, in particular, in the region of the axle or wheel suspension of motor vehicles.
