The invention relates to a dental implant for insertion in a jaw bone, comprising unscrewable passage posts for reception of dental replacement members and the implant post to be driven in, it being intended to create reliably reproducible implantation conditions which ensure primarily immobile and unloaded healing. This is achieved in that the implant post has a cylindrical piece on its free end and in that a weakly conical transition piece is located between the cylindrical piece and the passage post which are both provided with upwardly extending helical undulations, the wave crests having cylindrical outer surfaces in the cylindrical region and corresponding conical outer surfaces in the conical region, which outer surfaces are edged at the upper edge to the wave troughs and in each case rounded at the lower edge to the next wave trough, whereas the wave troughs are of semicircular design. <IMAGE>
