<p>An adjustable splint assembly (1) comprising a distal strut (3) and a proximal strut (5) pivotably connected to said distal strut (3), one of said struts (3) having at one end a pivotably mounted head portion (7) defining a cam surface (10), an adjustable biasing means (20) mounted within the other strut (5) and biased into engagement with said cam surface (10), for applying a quantifiable force tending to align or proximate said upper and lower struts, a limb cradle (60) slidably mounted on the distal strut (3), means for laterally adjusting said cradle (60) to accommodate a limb part, a platform (40) for supporting a proximal limb part, means (58) connecting said platform to the proximal strut (5), said platform (40) being longitudinally adjustable, and means (30) for securing said splint assembly to the limb.</p> |
