The system has switch suppression provided in the region of the switch point. e for the gearing's output shaft (12) lying above this suppression are attained solely by changing the transfer ratio of the gearing (3) at constant engine (2) speed. The speed of the gearing's output shaft is attained when preselecting a valve within the suppression by changing the speed of the engine at constant gearing transfer. The suppression includes at most 10 per cent of the synchronous speed of the coupling shaft at the switch point. USE/ADVANTAGE - For vehicle for controlled IC engine. Allows drive unit to run continuously at given speed for gearing's output shaft in region of switch point in gearing branch.
