<p>A device for grounding a film (22) which possesses an electrically conductive layer is composed of a spool (10) mountable on and electrically connected to a rotatable grounded spindle; a retainer (20) on the spool for securing the trailing edge of the film wound on the spool; and a contact strip (26, 30, 48) mounted on the trailing edge of the film and inserted into the retainer so as to maintain electrical grounding contact between the conductive layer of the film and the spool during unwinding of the film.</p> |
