Fastening device for rails

A fastening device 8 for rails 5 by means of ribbed plates 4 on wooden sleepers 1 of track installations is proposed, in the case of which device, on the one hand, the ribbed plates 4 are fixed on the sleepers 1 by means of fastening screws 9. On the other hand, the rail 5 is secured to the ribbed plates 4 by means of clamping members consisting of bolts 9 and nuts 10. The clamping members in turn engage on intermediate members 18 which can be brought to bear with one end on the rail foot 6 and can be supported via the other end against the ribbed plate 4. To obtain a simple but permanently functionally reliable fastening, one and the same bolt 9 is provided both to fix a ribbed plate 4 in position on the sleeper 1 and to secure the rail foot 6 to the ribbed plate 4. In this case, the bolt 9 is designed as a long-shank machine bolt of high-strength friction grip quality and can be introduced into a through-hole 11 in the sleeper, in the flush position of which at the underside of the sleeper 1 the nut 10, which forms a clamping engagement for the thread 14 of machine bolt 9, is seated so as to be fixed in terms of rotation. <IMAGE>
