PURPOSE:To uniform the distribution of the diameter directional magnetic field intensity of a disk medium by making the shapes of both edges of the cross stroke part of a T-shaped core into tapering shapes. CONSTITUTION:On the upper surface of a disk medium 3, a core 2 is provided, and the core 2 has a T-shaped side surface with a cross stroke part having a direction equivalent to the diameter direction of the disk medium 3 and is faced on the disk medium 3. The core 2 is fixed to the frame of a disk medium driver, the shapes of both the edges of the cross stroke part of the core 2 are made into the tapering shapes, and a coil 2 is wound around the vertical part and the tapering parts of the core 2. Thus, since both the edges of the core 2 goes to thin, magnetic reluctance at the parts becomes large, and it becomes difficult for magnetic flux to pass through the parts, the magnetic flux never concentrates on the parts, and the distribution of the magnetic field can be uniformed. Further, since the coil 1 is wound around the tapering parts, coil cross sections in the parts increase, coil resistance in the parts becomes smaller for that amount, and power consumption can be reduced. |
