PURPOSE:To surely accomplish supply action of a wire electrode by providing a means which detects the wire electrode, during its supply action, to be separated from the restriction of a jet water stream and dislocated to its outside. CONSTITUTION:When a wire electrode 3 is dislocated from a jet water stream 7, the wire electrode 3 is fed out deflecting from a wire electrode accepting side wire guide part 5 or brought into contact with a workpiece 1 generating deflection in a machining start hole 2 because a wire electrode feed motor 10 is continued rotating. This contact of the electrode is transmitted as a signal to a numerical control unit 17 stopping rotation of the wire electrode feed motor 10. Thereafter, the wire electrode 3 is cut by a wire cutting mechanism moving a cutter 11 in the direction of a press patch plate 12, while the residual part of the wire electrode 3 is removed. And the wire electrode 3, restarting its supply action from the beginning, is actuated so as to continue the supply action. |
