<p>PURPOSE:To release congestion in a network by collecting congestion information in a network control center from respective exchange stations with a prescribed period, calculating a control value which is the most suitable to release the congestion based on the information and announcing this control value to the station which needs congestion control. CONSTITUTION:A network control center 10 collects data to show the congestion condition of respective exchange stations 1-8 with the period for the unit of minutes and informs an optimum subscriber transmission regulating value by the exchange stations to be determined from the data, a window regulating value, a response time and a routing coefficient to the exchange stations 1-8 to need regulation. The congestion control is executed by the respective exchange stations 1-8 according to this regulating value. Thus, the optimum congestion control to consider the whole network can be executed without delay at a suitable time.</p> |
