摘要 In jarring mechanisms for the compaction of mouldings, especially for the production of carbon electrodes for the aluminium industry, contrarotating unbalance weights have been arranged on the jarring table as vibration exciters. However, since with increasing compaction of the moulding a higher frequency with a smaller amplitude leads to optimum compaction, it was necessary to compromise between maximum frequency and maximum permissible inertia forces. In order to achieve this, it was hitherto necessary to put the jarring mechanism out of operation and to provide the jarring drive with correspondingly modified unbalance weights. However, this cannot be achieved for operational reasons. According to the invention, however, both a vibration amplitude and a jarring frequency suited to the process for compacting the moulding can be achieved in a simple manner if the vibration exciter consists of an essentially vertically arranged piston-cylinder unit (6, 7) controlled by way of pressure media in which the piston rod (8) is rigidly connected to an inertia mass (9) and the cylinder (7) is rigidly connected to the jarring table (3). <IMAGE>
