A known device for cleaning conveying channels with a refractory coating for molten metals and slags, for example in blast furnaces, comprises a frame guided on two rails and mobile longitudinally above the conveying channel. According to the invention, one easily dismountable guide rail (20) is arranged on one side only of the conveying channel (3) and the mobile frame (5) has, on the side nearer the guide rail (20), two wheels (21) driven by motors (29) and two pairs of lateral guiding wheels (22) and, on the side farther from the guide rail (20), a free support roller (23). As a result of this arrangement, unevennesses of the floor in the vicinity of the conveying channel do not affect the guiding of the device parallel to the centre of the channel. The device and the rail can be removed after the operation, thus eliminating the risk of accidents due to the guide rail (20) when the channel is in use. |
