PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition capable of giving refreshing beverages with cream bubbles on its surface through foaming when added to water and allowed to disperse moonflower powder in water by formulating moonflower powder with creaming syrup and a foaming agent. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition can be obtained by formulating (1) moonflower powder (42 mesh passable, >=80 mesh in mean size, pref. with general viable cell number of <=5X10<3>/g, negative to Escherichia coli and salmonella) with (2) creaming syrup (powdered vegetable fat syrup mainly from corns or defatted powdered milk) and (3) a foaming agent (a mixture of organic acid such as citric acid or tartaric acid with carbonate such as sodium bicarbonate). It is preferable that the amount of the moonflower powder to be added be <=1.1 pts.wt. per pt.wt. of the creaming syrup and the amount of the foaming agent to be added 0.3-2.5g per 150ml of water. |
