<p>PURPOSE:To automatically fix a sheet during the stop of a sheet and to perform excellent reading and recording by a method wherein a pair of support shafts holding respective oval rollers rotated in a state to make contact with respective feed rollers are situated separably from the feed roller, and a sheet hold to press a sheet between a pair of the feed rollers is held to the support shafts. CONSTITUTION:When a feed roller 16 is rotated to convey a sheet 15, an oval roller 22 is rotated following rotation of the feed roller, and a support shaft 21 of the oval roller performs a motion to approach and separate away from the feed roller. As a result, when the feed roller is stopped at a point of time when the short size part of the oval roller is brought into contact with the feed roller, the support shaft 21 is situated in a position where it is situated closemost to the feed roller, and the sheet 15 is pressed and fixed by means of a sheet press 24 held by the support shafts 21. With this state, reading and recording are effected. When the feed roller is rotated from this position, the support shaft is separated away from the feed roller through rotation of the oval roller, the sheet press is separated away from the sheet, and the sheet is conveyed without any trouble.</p> |
