PURPOSE:To prevent offsetting while maintaining low-temp. fixability by compounding specific oxazolines with the binder at 0.1-10pts.wt. CONSTITUTION:The oxazolines having >=2 oxazoline rings in the molecule are compounded at 0.1-10pts.wt. with 100pts.wt. polyester resin having 30-75 deg.C glass transition temp. and 1-70KOHmg/g acid value. This polyester resin is obtd. by condensing an arbitrary acid component and polyhydric alcohol component and the acid component thereof is exemplified by terephthalic acid, isophthalic acid, etc. The polyester resin compsn., coloring agent and if necessary, a charge control agent are melted and mixed at the time preparing the toner. A crosslinking bond is generated by the oxazolines in the polyester resin when the toner is subjected to a heating treatment at the time of the production (melting) of the toner and, therefore, the toner has adequate elasticity. The offsetting is prevented in this way while the low-temp. fixability is maintained. |
