PURPOSE:To enable the formation of an automatic winding switching device capable of winding with putting any optional length of the wire end out of a bobbin by providing a switching guide roll for guiding a wire rod to a temporary winding circumferential channel or step part of each bobbin cap so as to be capable of advancing to an operating position at any time. CONSTITUTION:When it is found that a bobbin B in the left nears its full winding by a supply wire rod measuring machine, etc., the measuring machine outputs a full length forecasting signal, and a single supporting shaft 1 and the bobbin B in the right start to rotate. When the measuring machine then outputs a full length signal, a block 5a and a pair of guide rolls 5b are immediately moved to the new bobbin B side and stopped above a wire rod temporary winding step part 3 of a bobbin cap or above a new bobbin flange Bf close to said step part. When the supply passage of wire rod is thus changed to the new bobbin side, the tail of a wire rod W wound closer to the flange of the old bobbin obliquely gets over the flange Bf and the both cap outer ring parts 2. The rear is then touched with a switching guide roll 6, fallen into the channel between the wire rod temporary winding step part 3 of the new bobbin cap 2 and the bobbin flange Bf, and wound on the bobbin. |
