<p>A self-supporting sheet is described which contains a substrate layer and a structured coating on at least one surface of the substrate layer. The structured coating is manufactured by the treatment of at least one surface of the substrate layer by means of an electrical corona discharge which occurs between a voltage-conducting electrode and a counter electrode. At the same time in this process an aerosol which contains inert particles is injected into the corona discharge space during the corona discharge.</p>
