PURPOSE:To instantaneously remove produced ozone and ozone retained after an image forming process is completed by permitting a fan control means to operate an air flow generating fan for a prescribed length of time during the image forming process and after its termination. CONSTITUTION:The image forming device is provided with the air flow generating fan 81 removing ozone and a fan driving control means operating the air flow generating fan. When the image forming process starts, a CPU 41 transmits an on signal to a transistor 84 from an I/O 46, turns on the transistor 84, and rotates and drives the fan 81. After a series of the image forming process is completed, the CPU 41 keeps the transistor 84 at the On state for a prescribed time. A motor 82 continuously rotates and drives the fan 81. After the prescribed time has passed, the CPU 41 transmits an OFF signal to the transistor 84 to stop the rotation of the fan 81. Thus, ozone produced during the image forming process and after its termination can be prevented from retaining on a photosensitive body. |
