PURPOSE:To make it possible to highly contrast the toe gradation of a picture by incorporating at least 1mol% of silver iodide in a silver halide emulsion layer, and a hydroxyl amine developing agent and a water-soluble iodide in a processing composition, respectively. CONSTITUTION:At least one part of an unexposed silver halide contd. in a photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer is composed of a transferable silver complex salt. In a method of forming the picture on an image receiving layer by transferring at least one part of the silver complex salt to the image receiving layer contg. a silver precipitant, at least 1mol% of the silver iodide is incorporated in the silver halide emulsion, and the hydroxylamine developing agent and the water soluble iodide are incorporated in the processing composition. The water soluble iodide is exemplified by an alkali metal iodide such as sodium iodide, etc., and a quaternary salt iodide contg. nitrogen and phosphorus. Thus, the toe gradation of the picture is highly contrasted without deteriorating a max. optical density of the photosensitive material and retarding the transfer of the picture. |
