摘要 <p>For the control of an automatically actuated friction clutch of a motor vehicle driven by an internal combustion engine (1), in manoeuvring operation, that is at creeping speed, it is provided that the power output setting device (15) of the internal combustion engine (1) permits a limited preliminary accelerator pedal travel (13) which does not influence the power output of the internal combustion engine. The automatically actuated friction clutch (3) is engaged and disengaged by a control system (9) which responds at accelerator pedal positions within the preliminary pedal travel to a sensor (17) detecting the pedal position and in dependence upon the sensor sets the clutch (3) to an intermediate value between the completely engaged and the completely disengaged positions, at which the clutch (3) already transmits a partial torque sufficing for manoeuvring. In this action the internal combustion engine (1) is working with its idling rotation rate or a slightly increased rotation rate. The power output setting device of the internal combustion engine preferably has an idling rotation rate regulating device in order to be able, even in manoeuvring, to compensate for variations in the power output requirement, for example by reason of a gradient or a kerbstone edge. In a second embodiment the accelerator pedal operates change-over switches to alter input connections to a comparator, one of the connections being to an engine speed sensor. <IMAGE></p>
