PURPOSE:To prevent the performance from being deteriorated as well as to restrain the generation of contact errors caused by the contraction of an anode electrode or the increase in the internal resistance by sandwiching the anode electrode and a porous member made of the same material as the electrode between the spacer part sides on the anode side. CONSTITUTION:A gas separation plate 40 interposed between cells forms spacer parts 42, 43 on anode and cathode sides formed integratedly with a separator part 41 by a bending process, and a porous member 45 made of the same material as the anode electrode is sandwiched between the sides of the anode side spacer part 42. Since the member 45 contracts similarly with the anode electrode during the operation of battery, the thickness of the spacer part reduces following the contraction of the anode electrode, thereby contact errors between the anode electrode and the cell composing member are improved. It is thus possible to prevent the increase in the internal resistance so as to enable the maintenance of stable battery performance over a long period. |
