PURPOSE:To securely develop both front and rear surface of a photosensitive planographic printing plate with least necessary amt. of a developing soln. by coating both front and rear surfaces of the printing plate with a predetermined amt. of an unused developing soln., pressing the developing soln. uniformly to the printing plate with hot air or hot water, and proceeding the development while holding the developing soln. with the pressure of the hot air or hot water. CONSTITUTION:A predetermined amt. of a developing soln. is applied on both front and rear surfaces of the photosensitive plate (PS plate) 12 by means of an upper developing soln.-applying roller 26A and a lower developing soln.-applying roller 26B. The amt. of the developing soln. is set at the least necessary amt. for the development of the PS plate 12. The developing soln. on the rear surface of the PS plate coated on the both surfaces with the developing soln. is held by a developing soln.-holding device and carried because the developing soln. is held between the rear surface of the PS plate and a holding sheet 44 which is pushed upward by hot air. Thus, the developing soln. is prevented from falling and the PS plate is carried in this state. During the carrying, the PS plate 12 is developed securely on both surfaces with least necessary amt. of the developing soln. |
