PURPOSE:To prevent the hunting of a vehicle by fixing a target gear ration which is set from an engine parameter and a traveling parameter, etc. by a target gear ratio control means at the time of detecting an uneven surface by an uneven road surface detecting means. CONSTITUTION:A control circuit 503 receives throttle opening, engine speed, and vehicle speed from sensors 207, 204, 501 and drives a pulse motor 71 to change the position of a spool 53 and carry out feedback control so as to conform the actual gear ratio and actual engine speed of a continuously variable transmission to a set target gear ratio and a set target engine speed. When the variation of the actual gear ratio of the continuously variable transmission is large judging to be bad-road traveling, the feedback control of engine speed is stopped while fixing the largest gear ratio stored in a memory means, to carry out feedback control so as to confirm the actual gear ratio thereto. Thereby, the hunting of a vehicle can be prevented. |
