PURPOSE:To form a superconductor having a higher critical temp. than the conventional Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O superconductor by substituting Na for part of Ca among the constituent elements of the oxide superconductor. CONSTITUTION:This superconductor has a compsn. represented by a formula BiSrCa1-XNaXCu2OX (where x is 0.01-0.2). Restrictions are not especially placed on the production of this superconductor and any known method may be adopted. For example, a solid process by which starting materials are calcined, molded and sintered can be utilized. |
