PURPOSE:To eliminate mis-transmission due to mis-recognition of transmission destination command information and to improve the reliability of a relay station by interrupting line connection so as to stop the transmission when an abbreviated character string sent from a destination terminal equipment is dissident with the abbreviated character string. CONSTITUTION:When a sender terminal equipment 21 sends a transmission original to a facsimile equipment (relay station) 1 via a telephone network exchange 22 while taking an OCR sheet at the head, the facsimile equipment 1 analyzes the OCR sheet being the head picture and executes the recognition processing. Then the terminal abbreviation included in the terminal equipment identification information of the transmission destination is extracted and collated with the abbreviation recognized earlier. As a result, when the abbreviation is coincident, the transmission is started. Moreover, when dissident, it is discriminated that the opposite party is not an intended destination and the transmission is interrupted. Thus, whether or not the OCR sheet is mis-recognized is discriminated indirectly in this way and the careless transmission to the 3rd party is prevented. |
