PURPOSE:To prevent generation of cracks in a road joint by placing a central support plate having recessed and projected parts at its opposed ends at a space of the joint part of a road, and placing side support plates in a flat manner so as to fit to the recessed an projected parts on both the sides, then paving the surface. CONSTITUTION:A road joint A is composed of a central support plate 5 and side support plates 6 on both sides of the plate 5 which has recessed and projected parts on its both sides while the plates have recessed and projected parts formed to meet with the recessed and projected parts of the plate 5. The plate 5 is positioned at a road space 2, while the plates 6 are arranged through a joint part 7, thereby a flat combined support plate is composed. Onto the combined plate, a paving material 8 is applied, so that a road joint part is composed. It is thus possible to prevent cracks in the joint even if a road bed 1 is extended or contracted in the direction of road. |
