The circuit for reproducing the sound signal as a natural one includes an intermediate frequency rectifiers for separating a main signal of 4.5 MHz and a subsignal of 4.72 MHz from an input signal, a surround mode switching circuit for automatically switching the mode according to the pilot signal, and a surround effect processor for reproducing the sound signla added with the surround effect. The mode switching circuit switches to the spatial mode automatically or manually which expands the frequency region wider to provide natural sound feeling.
