PURPOSE:To obtain a hair tonic, containing a ginkgo extract as an essential ingredient and capable of accelerating and normalizing function of the hair and scalp, providing a healthy state and exhibiting hair growth and producing effects. CONSTITUTION:The objective substance, obtained by extracting leaves, flowers, branches, fruits, etc., of ginkgo with a solvent, such as an alcohol, at ambient temperature or by heating, filtering the resultant extract, containing the extract as an essential ingredient, suitably blending normally used ingredients, such as purified water, lower alcohols, polyhydric alcohols, fats and oils or surfactant, therewith and preparing a formulation according to a conventional method. The hair tonic can be prepared in the form of a milky lotion, cream, lotion, etc. The amount of the blended ginkgo extract is 0.001-10wt.% expressed in terms of solid substances and 0.01-20wt.% in the case of the extract solution. |
