PURPOSE:To obtain the subject multiple oxides having improved critical current density and uniform and fine texture by dissolving an yttrium salt, a barium salt and a copper salt in water, adding a basic amine and/or amide to the solution to effect the gelatinization and calcining the obtained gel. CONSTITUTION:An yttrium salt (e.g., YCl2), a barium salt (e.g., BaCl2) and a copper salt (e.g., CuCl2) are weighed at respective molar ratios and dissolved in water to form a homogeneous aqueous solution. The solution is gelatinized by the addition of an amine (e.g., ethylamine) and/or an amide (e.g., formamide), the obtained gel is e.g., dried and calcined and the produced fine powder is compression-molded and calcined to obtain the objective multiple oxides. |
