GENE CODING HEAT-RESISTANT TRYPTOPHAN SYNTHETASE AND USE THEREOF

PURPOSE:To provide a tryptophan synthase gene consisting of a specific base sequence and useful for the mass-production of heat-resistant tryptophan synthase by genetic engineering method. CONSTITUTION:A DNA carrying a gene coding a heat-resistant tryptophan synthase has been separated from Bacillus stearothermophilus belonging to a medium-grade thermophilic strain and the structure of the gene has been cleared. The base sequence of the gene is expressed by formula. A heat-resistant tryptophan synthase can be produced by transforming E.coli with a recombinant plasmid produced by linking the gene to plasmid vector.
