PURPOSE:To facilitate formation of a clear black marking with favorable visibility by irradiating a surface of an object comprising a composition containing a non-black inorganic lead compound and a resin with a laser beam having a wavelength in a far infrared region, thereby marking. CONSTITUTION:A surface of an object molded from a resin composition containing a non-black inorganic lead compound and a resin is irradiated with a laser beam with a wavelength in a far infrared region, thereby marking. The inorganic lead compound may be, for example, lead sulfate, basic lead sulfate or lead sulfite. The resin to be used for a molding material may be, for example, a polyolefin resin or a vinyl chloride resin. The laser beam to be used may a beam produced by, for example, a carbon dioxide gas laser, a carbon monoxide laser or a semiconductor laser, the wavelength being ordinarily 5-15mum, preferably, 8-12mum, and a carbon dioxide gas laser with a wavelength of 10.6mum or the like is particularly preferable. |
