<p>PURPOSE:To enable a program longer than a recordable time by a single recording medium to be recorded by turning ON/OFF the power source of a tuner independently in a recording and reproducing device incorporating a timer reservation function and plural kinds of tuners. CONSTITUTION:In a VTR 10, a power source switch Sw1 is set as the one dedicated for a BS tuner, and a power source switch Sw4 dedicated for a ground broadcast tuner 5, and they are controlled by a timer CPU 16 independently, respectively. And as an output terminal, the output terminals Out 2 and Out 3 other than Out 1 are provided. Furthermore, when the reservation of time exceeding the recording residual time of a magnetic tape in the VTR 10 is set at the time of performing recording by timer reservation, the timer CPU 16 is comprised so that no switches Sw1 and Sw2 are opened even after a recording operation on the tape is completed. In such a way, since tuner output is issued from the output terminal Out 2 even after the tape is fully recorded, the recording can be performed by connecting a VTR 9.</p> |
