PURPOSE:To increase reliability of an optical fiber at an insulator part and suppress the cost of device by sealing the side wall of a step part and optical fiber by an inorganic glass at the seal part, which is provided at the step part of a penetration part at one or both ends of an insulator. CONSTITUTION:A lower provisionally baked holder 6-1 provided at the center with a hole for passage of optical fiber is fitted at the step part 3 furnished at the end of a through hole 1 in an insulator 2, and optical fibers 8 in the desired number are fitted through the through hole 1 and provisionally baked holder 6-1. At this time, the part with the cover removed shall be located at the seal part. Then an inorganic glass molded member 9 equipped at the center with a vent hole of optical fibers is fitted on the provisionally baked holder 6-1, and thereon another provisionally baked holder 6-2 and an overlapping 10 are fitted. This is followed by heating up to a certain temp., and the optical fibers 8 are sealed, and silicon rubber is arranged around them to accomplish an optical fiber built-in insulator. |
