PURPOSE:To carry out automatic correction while observing the indicated contents of an MR original picture element by determining a density curved face using the MR original picture element density in an image correcting zone and correction the MR original picture element density using same. CONSTITUTION:In a density correcting method, the reference points (Xi, yi) in a zone A are specified by observing a picture plane and, after obtaining the MR original picture element density Ii thereof from a display memory 1, the calculated density I(xj, yj) on a density curved face is obtained for all points (xj, yj) in the zone A. Then, the obtained I(xj, yj) is subtracted from the original picture element density Ii in the reference positions (xi, yi) and, then added to the original picture element density Ij in the positions (xi, yi) to obtain a correcting picture element density Ij0, which is sent from a CPU 2 to the display memory 1 and, after writing same in the address position of the (xj, yj), as it is displayed on a picture plane, all indications in the zone A are replaced by the correcting density. The image quality is evaluated by seeing this indicating picture plane and, if the image quality is good, the correction is finished, whereas, in the case of an inferior picture plane, other four points are selected repeating a similar processing. Hence, the image can be corrected to be a uniform and proper density and indicated while watching the picture plane. |
