It is characterized in that the valve 3 inserted in the circuit of the meter 2 between the inlet 4 for fluid to the cylinder and the outlet 5 therefor is connected to the control unit 9, said control unit acting on the motor 8, the valve 3 and the meter 2 in a synchronized manner, allowing the introduction of the piston 7 into the fluid flow, reducing disturbances to a minimum value. The valve 3 is controlled by a servocontrol so that its opening is regulated in a synchronized manner with the speed of the motor 8 during the dynamic tests. The motor 8 is a DC servomotor and the control unit 9 comprises a device for regulating the speed of said motor 8. The flow is monitored without the need for a regulating valve and it increases the margin between maximum flow and minimum flow. It applies especially to gas meters. <IMAGE>
