PURPOSE:To enable stable carrying by passing a metal strip rapidly cooling and solidifying molten metal on the surface of cooling roll to pinch rolls composing of one pair of brushing roll and solid roll and specifying the speed of the pinch rolls at the time of carrying the metal strip to the coiling reel. CONSTITUTION:The rapid cooled and solidified metal strip on the cooling roll 1 surface is passed to the pinch rolls 7 composing of one pair of the brushing roll 7b and the solid roll 7a. Variety of tension developed caused by shifting of the pinch rolls 7 is absorbed with slip in the pinch rolls 7 and meandering of the strip is prevented with the centering function of the brushing roll having helical gear shape. The peripheral speed V1 of the cooling roll 1, the peripheral speed V2 of the pinch roll 7 and the shifting speed V3 of the pinch roll 7 are made to widen the permissible range of the adjusting accuracy of the speed by satisfying V2+V3>V1 and V1>=V3. By this method, in the carrying process to the reel 12 winding the rapid cooled strip, by correcting the line and giving the suitable tension, the stable carrying is executed. |
