摘要

PURPOSE: To attain fine control corresponding to the number of accessed unit sections by calculating the number respective sectors referred to as the function of time and using it as input for algorithm for trying the optimization of cache performance. CONSTITUTION: A footprint module receives the stream of addresses as one of the input and prepares the footprint of an address stream on the output side. The footprint module calculates the number of the respective sectors referred to as the function of the time and the calculation uses cache management algorithm so as to optimize a disk cache. The result is used as the input for the algorithm for trying the optimization of the cache performance.
