Modular vertebral fixator. It consists of simple couplings 1, double-orifice upper- guide couplings 10, double-orifice lower-guide couplings 12, and neutral couplings 14, all provided laterally with a paddle, 2, 11, 13 and 15 respectively, flat or curved, for fixing to the patient's vertebrae 16, carrying the couplings on the opposite side, a cylindrical body 5, with a vertical orifice going through it, to accommodate the threaded rods 8 and 9, some of them chamfered 19, with attachment by means of the nuts 17, which on one of their planes bear a projecting collar 18, which can be squeezed over the threaded rods, with the cylindrical body 5 of the various couplings carrying a set screw 7, for positioning of the threaded rods 8 and 9, before the fixing thereof, by the nuts 17. <IMAGE>
