PURPOSE:To prevent ink droplets from dropping at the time of replacement of an ink cartridge by providing an opening end face inclined with respect to the axial direction of a tube in the opening of the lower end of a down-flow tube. CONSTITUTION:The lower end of an ink flowdown tube 14 of an ink cartridge has an opening face 14-1 inclined with respect to its axial direction. The inclining angle alpha of the opening end face suitably selected in response to the physical properties of the viscosity of used ink, the inner diameter and material of the ink down-flow tube. The angle alpha of the opening end face is adapted to be so set that the ratio of the inner diameter (a) of the down-flow tube to the height difference (b) becomes, for example, a/b>=4/1. |
