<p>PURPOSE:To recover valuable matters from waste ink and to obtain reclaimed ink from recovered pigment, by adding a solvent having a poor pigment-dispersibility to waste ink to precipitate and separate pigment particles, and mixing the separated pigment with a solvent capable of highly dispersing the pigment. CONSTITUTION:A solvent having a poor pigment-dispersibility or a mixture thereof with a solvent capable of highly dissolving resins is mixed with waste ink to agglomerate pigment particles in said waste ink and to precipitate and separate the particles. A solvent capable of highly dispersing pigment is mixed with the separated pigment to re-disperse the pigment therein, thus obtaining a reclaimed ink. Examples of said solvents having a poor pigment-dispersibility are arom. hydrocarbons such as toluene and xylene. Examples of said solvents capable of highly dissolving resins and poorly dispersing the pigment are methyl alcohol and ethyl thetl acetate. The pref. mixing ratio of the solvent having a poor pigment-dispersibility/the solvent capable of highly dissolving resins is 100/ 0-50/50 by vol.</p> |
