摘要 Innovations in drying, heating, cooking, frying, roasting, bactericidal action, therapy, photosynthesis, etc., owing to the high penetration of the characteristic radiation produced. Stray heat losses (very uncomfortable for the user) are eliminated, and thus efficiency progressively increases, owing to the channelling of the radiation, in a parallel beam, by means of the necessary appropriate positioning of mirrors. There is almost no thermal inertia: this prevents irrecoverable heat losses with great savings in electrical power and increased speed of thermal stabilisation. The major inconvenience of conventional equipment has been eliminated owing to the very long wavelength of heat radiation, converted by the dark background of the containers, and with wavelengths of over 900 nanometres, it is not absorbed by the load to be heated. All this eliminates: renovating the containers and jackets, using instead glass and transparent ceramics. The electrical mains is unable to meet the requirements of a filament with such high surface temperatures that cannot be obtained without the necesary electronic power supplies, that prevent their instantaneous melting, on establishing a steep temperature gradient within the filament that causes high emission without physical deterioration. Thus, the efficiency is extremely high, when the cost of the electric current is compared with the two combustible gases, with the addition of other advantages, such as: harmlessness, safety, cleanliness, instantaneous accurate control, etc., etc.
